Nov 26, 2016 healthways plainsman mx 175 « on: November 26, 2016, 06:38:37 PM » a good friend asked me about sourcing a part for a plainsman rifle and I'm struggling to find a parts drawing. Info needed on Heathways Plainsman MX 175 Rifle. Post Apr 06, 2006 #1 2006-04-06T22:57. I'm looking for a parts list or service manual for a Heathways Plainsman MX 175 Rifle. I think these were made in California and later sold to Marksman. What size CO2 cartridge does it take?

Beeman/Weebly Scope Mount and a brand new in the package Beeman Scope Stop. Original factory black plastic grips. A beautiful set of factory custom wood grips that are fully adjustable. New Parts pack kit number PO21D, for the Hurricane Pistol. Owners manual and the scope manual plus all of the additional paper work that was issued with the pistol. The Healthways Plainsman is a BB caliber, 8 gram c02, semi-auto, 100 shot air pistol with gravity fed magazine. It features a thumb safety, black epoxy finish die cast metal construction, and fixed sights. This one comes with a factory box and owner’s manual.
been given one of these along with a nice (for me) Webley junior bought.
There is something broken in the repeating mechanism and I wonder if anybody has any pics of this or knows where there are pics?
It is an interesting design but built along the lines of an Ro71/72 regarding quality. The trigger does not always engage and the sear will need squaring off a bit more. I cannot get bb,s from the magazine to the feed (actually looks like the bb,s will not pass unless the alloy block was opened up a bit more), The thing will not shift a bb, which I think is partly down to the repeating mechanism not putting the bb in far enough as I have it now and partly due to the crappy piston/cylinder set up.
It,s not bad looking though
The Junior is working ok though

You could make a temp one up out of 7/8 bolt. Just need to drill a concave seat with a 3/4' drill bit in the bottom of the bolt, about .220 deep to accept the base of the cartridge thus allowing the threads of the bolt to make contact with the threads in the base of the pistol. Sorry for the crappy description, Rene. My camera is being fixed as a pic would have been better. _________________ If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

There are two different cap styles for that gun. The very earliest models used a pressurized tube in the grip, (similar to the Crosman MK I), and the end cap for that model had an o-ring seal, and used a toggle type piercing mechanism built into the end cap. The later models used a non-pressurized tube, with a plain, threaded end cap. The piercing of the powerlet was at the bottom of the tube, and similar to the setup used on the Crosman 38x series. (or 22xx series). Rene - if you look down to the bottom of the tube, can you see a piercing pin, or is it just a smooth, rounded bottom?

Mine are all the later Non-pressurized models with the piercing pin in the upper grip. _________________ If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

I can see a piercing pin and I don't see tread for a butt cap unless I am missing something else too . By the way I don't care that much about this pistol, it is just an addition to my collection .
